Paul Matthews BSc, ACA
Director
Paul is the audit principal for Bespokes and has extensive experience advising clients on all aspects of auditing, accounting, taxation, finance and IT systems. His focus is on supporting the development of businesses in addition to providing the necessary compliance services.
He gained a degree in Accountancy & Finance from the University of Southampton and trained with a leading practice in East Sussex. Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002 and joined Spokes & Co, as the firm was then known, the same year.
Paul is well versed in supporting start-up, early years and fast track businesses and much of his work involves around assisting with business planning and profit improvement for clients together with tackling the financial challenges that face businesses on a regular basis.

Andrew Appleton ACCA
Client Manager
Andrew has a wealth of experience advising many small and medium sized clients from the sole trader to AIM listed companies having worked in the firm for over twenty years prior to the recent management buy-out.
He is able to advise on many areas from business start-ups, accounts preparation, computerisation, audit, corporate and personal taxation and other relevant compliance issues as well as business purchases and sales.
Andrew is keen to be involved with business planning, understanding the owner’s wishes for their businesses and can assist with the development of management information and profit improvement for clients.
Paul Chewter BSc (Hons), ACA
Audit Manager
Paul graduated from Exeter University in 2003 with a 1st in Mathematics, Statistics and Operational Research. He joined Bespokes Limited in 2004 after a year spent travelling and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008.
He plans, controls and supervises the auditing and accounts preparation and completion for a wide range of clients, consisting of limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
Paul also gives advice to smaller owner managed businesses, provides on-going assistance with management accounts and is involved in personal taxation work.
Oliver Jones, BSc (Hons)
Audit Executive
Oliver graduated from Durham University in 2004 with a degree in Natural Sciences, comprising Geography, Geology and Archaeology. He joined Bespokes Limited in April 2007 having experienced working in practice elsewhere for two and a half years.
He carries out audit, accounts preparation and taxation work for all types of businesses and his experience in these areas allows him to pass on the benefits to the clients. Oliver is also actively involved in the personal taxation work undertaken by the practice.
Oliver has almost completed his Professional Stage ICAEW examinations and hopes to be part qualified by March 2009.
David Mills, BSc (Hons)
Audit Executive
David joined Bespokes Limited in November 2007 after graduating from Portsmouth University with a degree in Business Information Technology.
David assists with the audit and accounts preparation work performed for the clients, both at their premises and in the office, and is constantly building on the knowledge he is gaining.
David is now studying for his Professional Stage ICAEW exams.

Katie Bowen
Audit Executive
Katie pursued her career in accountancy straight from college after completing her A Levels in 2006. She joined Bespokes Limited in October 2008 and is currently studying towards her ACCA qualification.
Katie performs audit, accounts preparation and taxation work for all types of business client.
Jenny Hunt ACII
Accounts Executive
Jenny worked in the insurance industry for 18 years, becoming an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in this time. She decided to pursue a career in accountancy and joined the practice in 1993.
Jenny has many years experience in bookkeeping and accounting, specialising in small accounts preparation and management accounts for our clients. She also runs our payroll bureau and other ancillary services.
Jenny is proficient in Sage and other bookkeeping systems and is always available to help with any questions our clients may have.
Michelle Anthony, MAAT
Audit Executive
Michelle joined Bespokes Limited in November 2007 after running an accounts department in industry for 5 years. She had previously worked in other accountancy practices in the local area.
Michelle uses her experience to assist in the book-keeping and payroll functions for our clients and is a specialist in SAGE software.
Roger Kiralfy ACA
Tax Consultant
Roger was a partner in Spokes & Co until 2004, when he decided to set up his own tax practice. He continues to control the personal tax work carried out in the firm so utilising his long standing knowledge of the clients and their affairs.
